Are you Branding Yourself ?
Is it important for small businesses to brand themselves? I think that the answer is quite obvious. Branding is the key.
Without it, you are nobody. Who would know about you?

If you want people to trust you and buy from you, they have to know who you are. Would you give your money to a total stranger? I don`t think so. It is the same on the Web.
You need to let people:
1)  know who you are ,
2) where you come from
3) what you have accomplish so far
4) know that they can trust you
5) know you have a solution to their problem
6) know it is safe to trust you

This is what it is all about isn`t it? So are you Branding yourself?
Branding is: “The way you want people to feel about your business”.
If they go to your site, they have to like the content, the layout, the colors etc,
In a word, if they have a feeling of well-being:
-they will come back.
-they will remember your name or logo
-they will associate that good feeling with you.

You don`t necessarily have to use your name.. It could be an Icon,or a logo. If your viewers liked your site, they will remember your logo or your name. The next time they think about that logo, they will remember how they felt about your site and they will be more willing to back to it.

Branding is everything. It is about getting your prospects to see you as the only one who can provide a solution to their problem.There is a few things you should have in mind when you think about branding yourself:

• Your brand should deliver a clear message
• It should connect to your prospect on an emotional level
• It should establish your credibility
• It should bring back customers to your site

You need to understand the needs of your customer first. This is the first rule. And you have to know what they are looking for and how you can help them.
You have to brand yourself, your brand should be  “You”.
The worst thing to do is to copy websites that you have seen on the Web..
Don`t forget, we all have a different personality. While one site can be very plain, the next one can be overwhelming.
You have to find your way, your style and as you get more and more sites, make it your signature.

Even it branding yourself is very important,always remember that you have first, to think about your potential customers, about their hearts, and most of all: about what might be going into their minds.

If you keep all that in mind, and if you come across as the person to go to, then you will have succeeded in branding yourself the right way.

The best way to name your Website is fairly easy once you went through brainstorming your keywords.

By now, you should have found your passion or interest.
In a previous article, I talked about the importance of choosing the right subject. You can find this post at: How To Start With Affiliate Marketing

This step being done, you now need to ” brainstorm ” a little.
You will have to to find the right keywords so that when people are looking
for your product they will find your Website.

This step has to be written on paper first. This is very important and it can save you a lot of time and efforts. Once that is completed, only then will you start working on your Website

And how do you do you find the right Keywords? You use Google
Here s how to go about it:

1)You type in the term that interest you. (Let`s stay with “speed reading ” as in my previous example).
(The idea is to get as many keywords as possible and research all of them)

2)You research the first few pages that comes up on Google:
-You look for the search listing and the sponsored links listings.
-You then start making your search.
-You go on those sites and see what people are doing in that area.
-You study their site and see what they look like and decide what you like or dislike in them

3) You then get the best ideas from every one of them and make them better.
For example, let`s say that under “Speed Reading”  you see something about
about “copy writing or Graphology” or any thing else related to your keyword.
Obviously, those sites figured out that the people who have an interest in”Speed Reading”,
have also an interest in other subjects. From there, you could find an affiliate program
that will fit right into your interest and passion.

4)You have to decide if there is too much competition or too little.
If there is a lot of advertisers in a particular market then I would think twice before
getting into it, specially if you are new to Affiliate marketing.
There could be too much competition.
But if you find one with eight to twenty advertisers, I would go for it.

This is basically the process you should follow before starting to work on your Website.
Once all your keywords are written on paper, then the real work will start.

The good thing is that you will have all the keywords you need.
Once your research is over, all you need to do is go get your domain name.
This is the best way to name your Website.

Being an affiliate marketer is also the fastest way to start any business online or offline for that matter.

Here are the reasons “why”:

Do you realized how may affiliate merchants are selling their products online? There are ten of thousands of them all looking for affiliate marketers. But you have to be careful. You can`t decide one day:

There are a lot of affiliate marketers  making that mistake.  They don`t have a clue about marketing online but jump into it anyway. Now, you want to know what happens? It shows….

First things to consider:

• You need to have an interest for the topic that you want to promote.
• You should be passionate about it. If you are really passionate about it,
• You will exude credibility and you need that to build trust with people who

Now, you could tell me: I am passionate about a topic but it doesn`t  have a big market …
What should I do next?
The best thing to do is: find a way to branch out.
Let`s say you are interested in  Palm Reading. I am pretty sure that you might also be interested in Astrology or Graphology.
Here is the way to go about it:
Of course you will talk about the subject that interest you, in this example : Palm Reading. Then you will direct your visitors in other directories you saw they had interest in..such as Graphology or Astrology

You will have to spend a little time learning about these other topics.You can`t send people to sites you don`t know anything about, this will be very damaging for you.
This process will allow you to branch out from your site, and reach more clients. There is plenty of money to be made in Astrology or Graphology,so this is something you could connect to your site very easily
The whole idea is to bring your clients to your Palm Reading site and form there, have them sign for your Palm reading newsletter or free gift.

Once you get them in your auto-responder through Palm Reading, you will of course talk about your subject and at the same time, you can start introducing your other sub-niches. That one could be” Horoscope” for example.
We know that horoscope sells. So what you do then is to look for books that are in Click Bank on the subject and start promoting them.

Click Bank is one of the largest repository of digital information. I am positive you would find books about Graphology or Astronomy, and Horoscopes.
And they pay very well usually. Most of them are 50% or higher.
All you have to do is: to have a good look and do some research,you will find something.

This is the first step you have to take to get started.
I know that it can be overwhelming at first in the Affiliate Marketing world. Sometimes,specially if you are just starting, you might consider getting help. If you are lucky and have a mentor, that`s a good news.

• -Get the marketing tools necessary to you such as :a domain name, a blog or website
• -Advertizing and promotion etc.

I don`t know if you are like me, but I love traveling.
I just came back from a vacation with my family,
and we stayed in one of the best resort around and we had
such a wonderful time.

There is a strange thing about me in regards to the way
I choose my destination. It usually depends on how I feel.

I decided once to go to Italy after eating a wonderful “Osso Bucco”
An other time, I saw a movie and the story was filmed in Australia.
It looked so beautiful, I thought, I should visit that country.

This is particularly important for me. I have pass the time when I didn`t mind to settle down for ordinary accommodation. Now,I travel in the Best Resorts around.

You don`t have to be rich and famous to stay in 4-5 stars resorts. You might be thinking the price of the Time Share offered at the Resort is way out of reach. And that is true.
Who can afford to pay $20-$30,000 for one week every year or even every two years?  I can`t pay that kind of money .

I believe it is too much time consuming and beside,

We all know that our choice of keywords will influence:

2) The content we will create for it,

4) The chances our site and content will be found.

Internet marketing versus Affiliate marketing?

I started thinking about it yesterday and although I have been
talking about Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing,
I think it would be worth it to explain a little what is involved
being in one versus the other.

So today I will explain Internet Marketing versus Affiliate Marketing.
1) What is Internet Marketing
Internet marketing  is a very useful tool to reach people. That`s where you offer the  products or services you want to sell. It can be products you created yourself, a MLM  company or a service you are offering.
In other words, you are doing your marketing online.

To achieve that, you have to be found on the Internet among  millions other  sites .
So, you have  to come up as one of the first websites listed in the search results on Google, Yahoo and all the other ones.
Your website has to be attractive , interesting, full of useful content  that would help people find answers to solve their problems .
In order to achieve that, your site has to be unique, professional looking, helpful,and contain lots of you information.

The starting point in the Internet Marketing, is to have the right keyword. I explained it in an earlier post:

Then you have to drive traffic to your website .
Here are 3 ways to do it:
1)Paid methods such as pay per click, banner advertising and other paid online strategies.
2)Social media has become an integral part of success (networking websites such as:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
3)Free traffic ways are very popular amongst internet marketing beginners such as; video and article marketing

For someone who have never done marketing online, I strongly recommend to have a good training. I mentioned one that has helped me a lot in the past. You can also find a mentor,someone who will be following you step by step. Which ever way you choose, be consistent with it. Don`t jump from program to program.You need to stay focused

2)Now what is Affiliate marketing?
To keep it simple, it is a fancy way of saying: commission sales. Basically, you sell a product online and earn a percentage of the sale.
This can be done 2 ways:
1) You can send traffic directly to the merchant site (sometimes, some merchant refuses that method)
2) You send it through your own website. This is a much better approach.

I personally think that it is essential that you send traffic to your Website first. This way, if the person doesn`t  buy, they will still have the opportunity to sign up for your news letter or for a free gift .
Then, they will be on your list and you will be able to stay in touch with them whenever you have an other related  product .

I also recommend to have a site related to one subject only. It is not very professional to advertise all your products on the same website, it will look like you are to cheap to invest in your business.
It is not very expansive to buy a domain and set up either a blog or a website.

So it all depends of your personality: Internet Marketing versus Affiliate Marketing?
It is a question of choice. If you have an MLM and are trying to get a down line, then you probably will prefer the Internet Marketing option.You will be so busy with it, I doubt you will have time for Affiliate Marketing.

It doesn`t matter which choice you will take. One thing is certain. It takes time and efforts, but the rewards are all worth it.

Since I am continuously reading, I often find articles
that are part of what I believe in.

Step 1: Commit to Your Why

I always stress to others the importance of knowing “Why You’re doing what you’re doing!!”.

Do you know “why” you’re doing what you’re doing besides “making money”?  It’s so important to get as detailed as possible with your goals, as this is the secret weapon behind staying in the game and seeing your goals and dreams through to the other end.

Step 2: Take Responsibility – You’re In Control

One thing that most of us tend to do when things fall apart is “blame others”.  I very rarely have someone come to me and say “Nicole, I realize that I’m the reason why I have yet to achieve my goals and I take full responsibility for my lack of success!”.

Instead, this is what I hear daily “I followed such and such and spent money with such and such, and they misled me.”  OR… “they wouldn’t return my call”, “they didn’t show me what to do”,  “they weren’t there for me”…

Does this sound like you?

If so, it’s time to take full responsibility for where you are and own it, with a determination to turn things around for yourself and stand behind your own success.

Step 3: Know Your Numbers – When You’re Down, by How Much and Why

Do you know specifically what you want to accomplish, how much you need to earn, how much your business is going to cost you and how much time you need to put in to make the numbers work?

One thing that I’ve noticed is that very few people really know their numbers.

If you want to really determine the who, what, when, where and why of your business, then you need to know the numbers.

Step 4: Own Your Destiny: What Could I Be if I Refuse To Fail

What are you afraid of?

I realize that we only have one life to live and if you seriously want to be on top of maximizing your life, you need to press forward relentlessly, as though your life depends on your success.

How to start  with Affiliate marketing…

With the economy the way it is right now,a lot of people are looking to make money with affiliate marketing.
But it can be a hard process to find the right niche or product to promote.
Often, new affiliate marketers are tempted to join the latest and greatest product release, expecting to make a ton of money. Unfortunately,they end up not making any money and they give up with affiliate marketing before they have given it a chance to succeed.

The ideal way to proceed with affiliate marketing is to find a product which is in demand but has few people promoting it. This is perfect for beginners.
The experienced marketers have all the tools and the money to invest in advertising, you don`t.
So what you should do is to go for products,(which may give the same result for the clients),but products that fewer people are promoting.

It will be much easier to get your website listed high in the search engines if there is a smaller amount of people promoting the same product. This also would provide you with a greater chance of earning money faster.

In order to find the right affiliate product, you have to define your niche. How do you go about finding the right niche?

I will try to resume it in a few words:
-Find something you are passionate about
-Find something you have knowledge about
-Find something that is in demand

But I will give you an example with the health and fitness affiliate programs.
That term itself is a very broad subject and trying to rank for it,is almost impossible. But on the other hand, there are a lot of sub-niches on that subject,revolving around that term.
That`s where you should focus your research,that`s where you will find a more profitable product to promote.

Try to be your potential client. What could he be looking for?
What are his need when he is searching on Google? What could you offer him that could solve his problem?
But if you could put yourself in your client`s shoes, and could read his mind, wouldn`t that be wonderful?
You can, almost…

Let`s say your potential client has a health problem…If you make a search for health products for example,this is too broad.
One of the best way to see if your niche has the potential to solve your client`s problem and to be profitable for you at the same time,is by doing a search using the Google Adwords Keyword research tool.

Here is how it works:
If you put in the term Health and fitness,into the search box you will come up with a ton of results. You will have the following information:
- how much competition there is for the keyword
– how many searches are done each month.
– how many searches are made in your area

You will also get other results such as a column for trends, here is where you can see if this product is in demand all year round, or if there are seasonal spikes.
Your best option is for a product that is in demand all year.

You also want to choose a product with a decent number of searches each month, ideally below 5,000 and with low competition.
Once you looked at all those results, choose your niche.Choose one  that you think will be beneficial for your potential client`s problem. It could be arthritic pain solution, reflux, or any other one.

By now you know what people are looking for, which terms they used on their research. All you have to do is to look for a product that will be appropriate for your client`s need, and build a website around it, and start driving targeted.
That`s how you start with Affiliate Marketing.
