How to find the best prospect?
I wrote a post yesterday, and what I have to offer is so great, it would be a shame in nobody sees my ads, my blog and doesn`t join in.
I know this could make a difference to who ever would join me .
But as much as I would like to get the best prospects, they are not easy to come by. So what are the criterion in finding the dream prospect?
Everyone would like to be able to have a clear definition of who the best prospect might be. It would be such a relief if we could just look into someones`s eyes and see what they need and what we could offer them.
(Of course in a situation when I meet people in person)
Unfortunately to find the best prospect is a little more complicated than that, specially if you don`t met them face to face. If you try through Internet marketing , ads, or other methods, it is a little more complicated because we can`t read the other person in front of us. But there are ways to detect if one can be the right prospect, even if they if they are not in front of you.
We know that the best prospect is someone with a problem. And a problem than can be solved with something your company or your opportunity can offer, and they are searching. (otherwise, they would not have answered your ad or left their name and info on your page.)
Everyday we come across someone who could benefit from what we have to offer.
In most cases, that person is thinking either :
-Having an additional income
-Having more time with their family and friends
-Getting a level of security , otherwise impossible in their situation
-Having a change of their lifestyle
-They may hate their job or their boss
-They might want to have more vacation
-They would like a nice house in a desirable neighborhood ,etc
What ever the reason is, if your company offers them a solution to one of their problems, they will be happy to consider listening to you. This can be also done over the phone and all you have to do is just: “listen” to what they have to say.
So, when you hear someone mentioning one of the reasons I wrote above,they could become your best prospect. There should be an alarm coming up in your mind: ” I can probably go a little further here and get them interested in my opportunity”
Of course ,you have to do it the right way. If you come to the person, pitching your opportunity and the great value of joining you, you won`t make a hit.
The person in front of you or on the phone has to know: “What`s In It For Me” . They have to learn to know you and like you. Can I trust him or her? Will it be the best answer to my problem?
One way to go about it is to be very subtle and just saying something like :
I couldn`t help hearing what you just said. I have something that could be helpful for you. Here is my card or go to my website. Go have a look at it and let me know what you think about it.
I could get in touch with you again tomorrow, if that is OK with you.
What time would be best for you ?
You probably right there, have the best prospect you should expect to find.
As you see ,you didn`t start bragging about your opportunity and all the advantages and the compensation plan etc.
You planted a seed. That is how it should be done.
They know that you heard their problem and that you are trying to do something about it. If they think you can solve their issue, they will go visit your website and will be warmer to you the following day,when you call them back .
And if they happen to not be interested by your offer, they might just know someone who could be.
All you have to do is asked them.You may find in their friends and contacts, the best prospect ever, the one who will become your best leader,and probably surpass you.
